The best metal album covers of September 2020

Entering the final quarter of the year with a vibrant display of excellence.

October is here and so is our recap of last month's best visual endeavors. You may find yourself familiar with a few of the artists included, the likes of which have found themselves on previous editions of our monthly feature. However, you'll find yourself introduced to the work of Shintaro Kago, Anton Atanasov, Brian Sheehan of Legerdemain Art, Jon Whiplash, and Karmazid, all of which stand as exemplary new entries to our collection.

From Dan Seagrave's signature landscapes on SKELETAL REMAINS' The Entombment of Chaos to the baroque nature of Eliran Kantor's enthralling cover for CULT OF LILITH's Mara, September proved to be a great month for music and art alike. Castellano's wondrous cover for VARATHRON can very well be one of his best yet, serving as a testament to the artist's ability to capture atmosphere. Karmazid's detailed intricacies matched the greatness of SKÁPHE's black metal while Business For Satan visualized the horrors of alcoholism and bad decision making with a profound cover for VONLAUS' latest. We can go on with the descriptions, but we rather you take a gander at the covers below and lose yourself in their wonder.
