Iceland's MISTHYRMING announce new album "Algleymi"

One of the country's best bands of all time.

Iceland is home to the best black metal today, no questions asked. Svartidauði, Sinmara, Kaleikr, Wormlust, and of recent acclaim, Misþyrming, all hail from the land of fire and ice. The above blood drenched unit Misþyrming aim to keep Icelandic black metal at the forefront with their newly announced record Algleymi, set to arrive on May 24th via Norma Evangelium Diaboli.

The Reykjavík-based ensemble are following the success of the highly acclaimed Söngvar elds og óreiðu, a debut that sold out vinyl copies within a couple days of announcing. While the debut sported an catastrophic inferno at the forefront, Algleymi host Manuel Tinneman's coldest work to date, depicting an individual harnessing mountainous power through a chalice raised high towards the sky. The band's use of melody evolves to the next level, reaching new peaks and matched with sheer intensity and anthemic atmosphere from the heavens.

Simply put, Misþyrming live by quality over quantity, being only their second record after six years of existence and delivering odes that will resonate with listeners for years to come.
