A Mourning Star, one of DAZE's top shots, is back with Necessity Has Clipped My Wings — a musical rollercoaster that pulls on heart strings with serene melodies and crushing screams reflective of the pain within its lyricism. The EP, which arrives via DAZE and Ephyra, is streaming everywhere now, ready to swarm over listeners with a wall of sound driven by its brilliant guitar work and seamless clean vs. screaming vocal transitions. As they say, less is more, and A Mourning Star need only four tracks to make magic happen.

The band comment on the EP:

“Andre Urquidi, who was the engineer for this record and our last record, joined us when Ravi couldn't make a tour, and he was such a good fit and also a long time friend of our drummer Byron already, that we said hey why don't we just have three guitar players. His ability to write and also just make shit sound good is a huge part of our band now. Having three guitars we tried to utilize that in the writing and recording process and push the limits of what we could do but also keep it true to the core idea of the band. We have got some strong triple harmonies going on this time around.”
