AUTOPSY announce new album 'Morbidity Triumphant'

The Bay Area death metal legends return with Benscoter at the visual helm once more.

On September 30th, Autopsy will release their long awaited 8th album, Morbidity Triumphant, via Peaceville Records, complete with another cover illustration by way of the consistent Wes Benscoter. This is Autopsy as you know them: raw, heavy, and downright punishing and with Morbidity Triumphant being Earhammer Studios' own Greg Wilkinson first album with the band, expect a new layer of depth to an already staggering display of death metal.

Drummer Chris Reifert comments on the Benscoter artwork:

"Wes delivered another stunner. What a maniac! We didn’t give him much to work with as usual. I think, maybe, just a couple of song titles and themes maybe and his imagination did most of the work. The album title came along after the fact. After having our minds blown by Wes’ art we arrived at “Morbidity Triumphant” which seemed to fit the theme of the painting as well as the way we feel about the state of the band in general. We’ve been working hard at our sick craft with zero compromise and it seems we’re still hitting our stride somehow.”
