The hard-hitting trio preface their forthcoming chapter with a sonic maelstrom.
Art has and forever will serve as a byproduct of our surrounding environment, whether that be sociopolitical, familial, or ecosystemic. For Birds In Row, their unique take on the post-hardcore arena is a reflection of their experiences with the aforementioned environment, particularly misinformation, the nonsensical nature of mental illness, and police brutality. On October 14, the band will release their new album, Gris Klein, via Red Creek Recordings complete with an expressionist cover by way of Bart Balboa that stands as a manifestation of all that informed its development. This shape-shifting beast comes introduced by the ruthless lead single, Nympheas, which is nothing short of confrontational from the get go. The band describe the single as "an ode to those who keep fighting when we don't have the energy to anymore, or never have had it, especially when facing political issues that are increasingly more visible."
