On October 28th, Profound Lore Records will give way to Afterworld — the new album by coldwave/post-punk ensemble Blacklist. Beneath the harrowing yet beautiful Adam Burke cover lies a composition ideal for the contemporary state of affairs, one that looks to find meaning in adoration during the wreckage that is the sociopolitical and environmental realm. It's kicked off by lead single Pathfinder, which gallops into the ears of keen listeners with infectious rhythms and melancholic guitar melodies that'll spark a foot tap or sway of the head. It's an exquisite number that'll remind one of Ulver's latest endeavor, Flowers Of Evil (2020).
