DEATHBELL share epic new single 'The Ladder'

The French doom ensemble move mountains with a glorious new effort.

Adam Burke's artistry makes for the proper introduction to what lies within Deathbell's moving sophomore record, A Nocturnal Crossing. It arrives on February 25th via Svart Records and just a couple of days ago, we received the latest single, The Ladder, alongside a wonderfully directed video by Robin Levet and Edza Films. It's an astounding audiovisual moment that raises excitement for what is expected to be a doom metal album of the highest order.

Guitarist Bastian Commelongue, who wrote the script, comments on the video:

"A man wakes up in the woods and hears a mysterious voice. He meets different entities that will guide him or threaten him towards a greater knowing of himself. It is a solitary initiation ritual that one is called to perform, in order to ascend or descend the ladder, which is a metaphor for our ever-changing paradigm. This is an exploration of the potential to transform what is carried deep in one's heart."
