EYEHATEGOD to release two collaborative beers at Decibel Magazine's Metal & Beer Festival

Two weeks to go for the momentous occasion at The Fillmore.

The 2023 Philadelphia edition of Decibel Magazine's Metal & Beer Festival is shaping up to be among their best yet, and with two weeks to go, we've got word that sludge titans Eyehategod will have two collaborative beers in partnership with Wake Brewing and Widowmaker Brewing respectively. Wake's entry is the Southern Discomfort Pilsner while Widowmaker crafts the Drink As Needed For Pain Double NE IPA — two exquisite offerings to indulge in just prior to the band's celebratory full album performance of Take As Needed For Pain (1993).

Jason Parris, Co-Owner of Wake Brewing, comments:

“Young jaded life slapped you down with this crispy light Pilsner, Heroes have cursed and named this bastard of a brews Southern Discomfort. To say we are excited to slay this collaboration alongside one of our favorite bands is a complete understatement. I have been able to work / book EHG a few times over the past 12 years and still one of the only bands to put me in that dopesick induced trance. Expect this beer to be the perfect companion for you during Decibel Metal and Beer Fest take as needed for pain in the pit.”

Ryan Lavery, Founder/President Widowmaker Brewing, comments:

“We are psyched to be heading back to Philly for Decibel’s Metal & Beer Fest! Not only is the Fillmore the perfect place to spend a few days listening to metal and smashing beers but the community this event brings in from brewers and musicians across the world is unmatched. We have some killer suds to share this year that include[s] a big Double New England India Pale that we have been working on with Eyehategod! So amped to be working with these legends!”

Two-day and one-day Friday and Saturday tickets are available and flying fast.
