Iceland's CULT OF LILITH announce new album 'Mara'

Reykjavik strikes again and further cements the nation as a breeding ground for the elite.

Five years since forming and CULT OF LILITH are now ready to usher in their full-length introduction to the world by way of the Eliran Kantor-fronted Mara. Arriving on September 4th via Metal Blade Records, Mara takes the high octane energy of their Arkanum EP (2016) to new heights, bombarding listeners with an assault of progressive death capabilities. Their classical structures and piano layers add elegance to the barrage, resembling that of a FLESHGOD APOCALYPSE.

Founder/guitarist Daniel Þór Hannesson comments on the record:

"Stylistically, 'Mara' is way more diverse and refined than 'Arkanum', but still retains some of the essential ideas of composition. There was another vocalist at the time and since their styles are so different, it has made a big impact on the progression of the band. Mario has great range, so he fits very well with our diverse music. There is also a big difference in sound: 'Mara' is much heavier, in your face and beefier than 'Arkanum', thanks to the amazing Dave Otero, who mixed and mastered the album."
