PUBLIC ENEMY announce 'Welcome To The Terrordome' Art Show

An anniversary celebration of the iconic 'Fear Of A Black Planet' with notable artists.

Decades from the release of Fear Of A Black Planet (1990) and yet the subject matter at hand still speaks to our contemporary sociopolitical environment. PUBLIC ENEMY's efforts serve as an art form and conduit for Chuck D's expressions, the likes of which challenged the governing powers of a system created to undermine his being. To celebrate the longevity of the record, PUBLIC ENEMY invited artists from around the world for The Terrordome, an art show that hosts unique works inspired by the group's songs, legacy, and history.

Featuring Obey's Shepard Fairey, Chuck D himself, WK Interact, Faith47, Okuda and so much more, The Terrordome presents itself as a platform for artistic expression guided by the nature of PUBLIC ENEMY's conceptual approach. The show opens on September 5th, 2020 at Black Book Gallery (3878 S Jason St, Englewood, CO 80110) and goes through October 3rd, 2020, giving interested audiences ample time to engage in the creative works present throughout the event. To comply with safety standards, the gallery will be practicing COVID-19 precautions for those in attendance, which include limited capacity for the event.

PUBLIC ENEMY's Chuck D comments:

“Bringing visual artists and music together has always been important to me because it’s who I am. I was an illustrator and graphic designer long before I ever grabbed a microphone. We’ve been working hard at bringing together an amazing array of artists for the show, and look forward to people coming through to see their work.”

Tickets will be available on Saturday, August 29th HERE at Blackbook Gallery's website. For those unable to make it, limited edition prints by Ludo,,Okuda,,Emek, and Ferris Plock will be available on the site that same day.
