Revocation announce new album 'New Gods, New Masters' + share lead single

The tech-death titans unveil a Girardian beast and an accompanying North American Tour.

On September 26th, Revocation will release their new album, New Gods, New Masters, via Metal Blade Records, providing commentary on technological worship through excellence in technical death metal. Like the Paolo Girardi cover illustration, it's a richly layered listen that comes well introduced by Cronenberged — a monstrous lead single featuring Jonny Davy of Job For A Cowboy. Expect to hear it on tour this fall (dates below) alongside a strong supporting bill featuring Inferi, Judiciary, and Vomit Forth.

Frontman Dave Davidson comments on the album:

“It seems as if that desire is encoded in our DNA. As science and our understanding of nature and the universe as a whole increases, the religions of the old gods start to become obsolete. However, I believe we’ve replaced our old gods with new ones, worshipping technology and creating a cult-like idolatry of innovators. I’ve been very fascinated with the development of Artificial Intelligence, and I’m deeply concerned where this could lead humanity whether it’s the slow march towards a technological dystopia or the all-out annihilation of our species.”
