SEER premiere new track 'Iron Worth Striking,' new album out soon

Music worth listening.

With influences like BLACK SABBATH, CANDLEMASS, BLUE OYSTER CULT, and KING CRIMSON and a seamless fusion of doom, sludge, black and NWOBHM, you can bet you're getting something special. Canadian doom outfit SEER premiere Iron Worth Striking off their forthcoming second full length Vol. 6 via Decibel Magazine and it's worth all the time in the world. Vol 6. is set for international release on February 8th via Artofact Records.

It's important to note that SEER members also play in WORMWITCH, EMPRESS, and several other bands, which brings layers of depth and influence onto the band's compositions. Evidence of this can be heard on the tracks released thus far, which incorporate the sheer emotion of black metal and NWOBHM to an already outstanding doom output. This magnificent effort was produced by Jordan Koop (Wolf Parade, Lié, The Courtneys) and mastered by Joel Grind (Toxic Holocaust).

Frontman Kyle Tavares talks about the album’s themes:

"Vol. 6 tells the story of a monk who belongs to a monastery built upon the tallest mountain on the planet. This monk has been chosen to make pilgrimage to the peak of the mountain, where lies the power to return their world to a golden age long past. This pilgrimage is taken once each decade, and no monk has ever returned from his journey and completed the quest. The main theme is dogma and the consequences of accepting rigid principles one must not stray from."
