For bands well into their career, it's quite easy to fall in line with comfortable conventions that please the diehard listeners and feed off of nostalgia. For Silverstein, comfort isn't sought after and their recent work remains ambiguous as a result, allowing for a newfound excitement that maintains the band at the upper echelon of the genre they helped propel. Today, Silverstein announce their new album, Misery Made Me, to be released by UNFD on May 6th with Wyatt Clough visuals to garner some curiosity. With a cover now revealed, tour dates announced, and the electrifying new single Ultraviolet accompanying the announcement, the path towards Misery Made Me begins.

Frontman Shane Told comments:

"For the first time in our career, we truly put it all out there. We went into this with no rules and no preconceived notions of what Silverstein is or what it could be. The results are bold. We somehow wrote the heaviest, saddest, catchiest, and most emotional songs in 22 years of being a band … all on the same album."

Guitarist Paul Marc adds:

“Ultraviolet being invisible felt like the right way to describe it - to get lost in this unseeable thing. Ultraviolet light also causes physical damage to our skin, so it serves as a sort of ‘proof’ that something invisible like anxiety can hurt us.”
