Coming across an artistic blessing by Eliran Kantor is a surefire way of finding great records like MY DYING BRIDE's The Ghost of Orion (2020), SIGH's Heir To Despair (2018) and KRISIUN's Scourge of the Enthroned (2018). The latest to join the Kantor-fronted list of bands is LA's SORIZON, who have just announced the release of their forthcoming third full-length Thanatos Rising.
Arriving summer 2020, Thanatos Rising finds the heavy metal unit tapping into their fixation with death and the unknown through a delivery of thunderous sound. The lead single/title track fires from the jump with a pairing of pummeling double bass and sharp riffage, followed shortly by a soaring vocal performance by frontman Keith McIntosh, further highlighting the band's growth since first forming over a decade ago. If high caliber heavy metal is of your liking, you best keep an eye out.
