Bridging the gaps between shoegaze, black metal, and post-rock is Iceland's SÓLSTAFIR, who are now set to release their seventh full-length Endless Twilight of Codependent Love on November 6th via Season of Mist. Now entering a quarter of a century in existence, SÓLSTAFIR are at their most musically mature yet, abiding by no bounds but their own. They serve as a modern staple of the metal scene, a scene where genre lines have been blurred for true creative expression. Said expression is present in Endless Twilight of Codependent Love, which comes accompanied by Johann Baptist Zwecker's iconic The Lady of the Mountain (1864).

Frontman Aðalbjörn "Addi" Tryggvason comments of the cover:

“Everybody knows the image of the Lady of the Mountain. It's like Marianne to the French and Minerva in Greek mythology. All of a sudden, the original pops up and it’s like, ‘Oh my god, these are the most beautiful colors I've ever seen. And why does it remind me of Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness?’ So that's purely accidental. When we saw this photo, we had to use it. It's too beautiful.”
