The best metal album covers of May 2019

Timo Ketola's work ethic is appreciated.

This month welcomed many highly-anticipated releases from bands that have left their mark on their respective genres, including POSSESSED, DARK THRONE, and NOCTURNUS AD to name a few. Underground metal also saw a fair share of compositions that will be mentioned among the year's best. With that said, the artwork that accompanied said records saw the same level of quality as the music that lies within, rounding up a complete package of heavy goodness.

For the record, this is not a Timo Ketola piece despite his impeccable work appearing three times on the list below. What can we say, the man has a gift.
