On May 31st, the latest from Thou will hit shelves in the form of Umbilical, which arrives via Sacred Bones Records. Until then, the band is inching closer to the release with rip roaring audio samples to indulge in, like Unbidden Guest — a truly monstrous number with a towering scope that is uncomfortably rewarding. Beyond that, Thou get creative with a variety of stock footage, humorously inserting live film into unconventional spaces for good fun despite its otherwise heavy subject matter.

Frontman Bryan Funck comments on the track:

"Physical deterioration by way of psychological disarray. Retreading a well-worn path of self grievance. Othering mental illness and learned behaviour in order to crush them under the dominance of epistemic willpower. 'The last time you cried, who'd you think was inside?'"
