TOUCHÉ AMORÉ announce 'The Art of Touché Amoré' art book

Looking back at the band's visual trajectory through the brush of guitarist Nick Steinhardt.

Having an artist among a band's fold is an interesting dynamic that has yielded exquisite results for those who choose to embrace it. In the case of LA's Touché Amoré, the post-hardcore unit have utilized the talents of their own Nick Steinhardt throughout their now 12-year career, resulting in a comprehensive and seamless audiovisual collision from one full-length to the next. As they gear up to tour alongside Vein.fm, Thirdface, and Foxtails in support of last year's studio album, Lament, the band announce The Art of Touché Amoré, a massive, 416-page softcover book that captures the Touché Amoré identity through every bit of artwork created by and for the band. Beyond album covers, tour posters, and merch designs from as early as 2007, the book includes designs from their deluxe album releases, lyrics that inspired said artwork, interviews with photographer Ryan Aylsworth, collage artist Anthony Gerace, and Deafheaven's George Clarke, and commentary from journalist Ian Cohen among a plethora of other neat insights into the world of Touché Amoré. It all arrives on January 26, 2022 and for those who pre-order before December 3rd, they'll receive a signed card from the band.

Steinhardt comments:

“Given the number of years we’ve been at this and the limited availability of our most expansive releases, we realized that even some of our most enthusiastic fans either weren’t aware of or haven’t had the chance to see the full vision of our album packages. There is a larger story to tell than just a singular album cover: the intertwining of our music, lyrics and art, inspiration and anecdotes on the creative process, in one thorough volume. I wanted to approach this from the perspective of a completist fan, curious nascent artist, die-hard music lover, print packaging nerd, or all of the above.”
