Adorned once again by the solemn atmospheres of Kristian Wåhlin.

When we shot ENSIFERUM's LA-tour stop early last year, we were introduced to the likes of WITHERFALL, an LA-based melodic death metal unit that bridges symphony and aggression with seamless precision. They may have been a regional opener, but they commanded the stage like a true headline act, complete with elite musical chops and strong stage presence. Their newly announced full-length, Curse of Autumn, reemphasizes that statement.

Arriving in March 2020 via Century Media Records, Curse of Autumn find the band returning to the great Kristian Wåhlin for another exquisite audiovisual endeavor. Though months away from the album's arrival, WITHERFALL issue the lead single The Last Scar as a taste of the brutal elegance that awaits.

The band comment on the single:

"This is a nice and happy one. It's heavily inspired by an evening on tour in the Czech Republic. It's possibly one of the most aggressive WITHERFALL songs and certainly a test of stamina for instrumentalists and voices. During the recording, our producer Jon Schaffer really put us to the test on getting these final takes. Both WITHERFALL and our team at Century Media felt this song would be the perfect way to introduce our latest offspring Curse of Autumn. Like any other WITHERFALL record, this one is quite the storm. This is but the first gust of wind…"
