With symbolic artwork by Metastazis at the helm of their hymns once more, Amorphis pave the path towards the arrival of their fourteenth studio album, Halo. Releasing on February 11th, 2022 via Atomic Fire Records, Halo is further reflection of the band's meticulous discipline and attention to songcraft, a feat not often achieved for bands this long into their trajectory. Today's arrival of lead track The Moon soars high as an effort primed for the live setting. This is a band who has yet to settle and The Moon, with its wondrous array of orchestral, progressive, and death metal layers, is a defining statement.

Lyricist Pekka Kainulainen comments:

"I have done several drawings and paintings on this subject over the years. Now I complementary wrote some heavy metal lyrics... This is a song of love."
