With swooning new album Once Twice Melody (Sub Pop Records) already ingrained in the hearts of millions, Beach House brought its vulnerable, lulling sounds to the House of Blues in Anaheim as part of a small, 3-day tour through California. The band, who is known for a signature hypnotizing stage presentation, performed atop a reflective stage that gave off the illusion of water upon the new album's title track ringing in the show.

Masterminds Victoria Legrand and Alex Scally layer on a soundtrack through time and space that left many in awe as they let the music consume them. Though its not a very physical showing, there's a lot taking place within its tranquility. Constant changing lights and projections fill the background with astronomical sights that play a key role in the band's enveloping craft. The career spanning set used its playful melodies as a guide through a non stop ride that put one's soul at ease, feeling completely weightless from the gentle hymns of Legrand and the wonder that filled the venue.

Notable hits, such as Silver Soul, Myth, Wildflower, and of course, Space Song, were welcomed with open arms as they were expanded upon via the live stage in ethereal ways that define immersion. Fans were filled with complete bliss after experiencing a standout performance that is comparable to the records themselves. Whether or not the band's studio recordings have compelled you, the Beach House concert experience is a must for it delivers a once in a lifetime compositional journey unlike no other.
