On Sunday, October 19, 2025, the line outside The Fillmore in Silver Spring, Maryland crackled with anticipation as fans gathered for the North American headline tour of Cannibal Corpse alongside support from Municipal Waste, Full of Hell, and Fulci. With the tour wrapping up just yesterday Charlotte, North Carolina, this date felt like one of the climactic Eastern shows of the run.
Opening the evening, Italy's Fulci delivered a razor edged thrash assault: tight riffs, high energy, relentless drive. The band's 2024 album, Duck Face Killings, was a gruesome and cinematic feat that played out even stronger in the live setting. Next up, the always consistent Full of Hell tore through a blistering set of noise grind and atmospheric chaos that left the pit buzzing and the crowd primed. They never fail to deliver and their relentless set at The Fillmore was no exception. By the time Municipal Waste hit the stage, the vibe had shifted into full on party thrash mode. Singalong hooks and a pit that was both punishing and inclusive filled the room.
Finally, it was time for Cannibal Corpse to hit the stage and close the night with a textbook death metal onslaught led by deep growls and explosive double bass drums.
What you see is what you get with Cannibal Corpse — absolute brutality. There are no gimmicks or pretentious ploys to force relevance, just turbulent riffs upon riffs that never cease to amaze. They played some of their biggest songs like I Cum Blood, Hammer Smashed Face, and Pit of Zombies, each of which carried over exceptionally well with the frenzied in attendance. Filling in for lead shredder Erik Rutan was Brandon Ellis (The Black Dahlia Murder), who didn't shy away from the opportunity and made the role entirely his own alongside the all-star crew of George Corpsegrinder, Alex Webster, Paul Mazurkiewicz, and Rob Barrett.
The night mapped a thrilling journey: from the crushing grind of Full of Hell, through the thrash stomp of Fulci, into the chaotic fun of Municipal Waste and culminating in the veteran might of Cannibal Corpse. Despite the roster’s breadth of styles, each act locked into an intense synergy that kept the crowd pressed forward, drenched in sweat, and completely wrecked.
