The Loeffler brothers bring their riff driven craft to the legendary Palladium for a memorable evening of nostalgia and contemporary excellence.

Hollywood Palladium on October 3, 2023:
The celebrated Chevelle have traversed distinct ends of the music spectrum, getting by with affiliations of nu metal, hard rock, and alternative among other adjacent subgenres. Regardless of what the categorization is, they stand tall and provide us all with hymns to define a generation that continues to benefit from their influence. Said hymns rose again on the Hollywood Palladium stage as Chevelle stopped by Los Angeles alongside the co-headlining Three Days Grace and post-metal trailblazers Loathe, who kicked off the night's festivities.
One album in and the English outfit have mastered the art of melody with an ethereal, and suddenly explosive, approach to composition. Frontman Kadeem France commands and makes great use of every inch of the Palladium stage, belting out piercing screams amidst serene vocals while guitars swoon a keen audience. Their 2020 debut, I Let It In And It Took Everything, was our #2 album of that year, and rightfully so.
The band's lush guitars, seamless vocal shifts, and eclectic song variety set the standard high. Loathe's performing abilities expand upon the richly layered listen of their studio, giving us all a reason to be excited for the future of the genre (and their sophomore album to come).

Chevelle came next and set the course for a grandiose outing with the wondrous instrumental that is Verruckt. Pete Loeffler (guitar, vocals), Sam Loeffler (drum), and Kemble Walters (bass, vocals) were welcomed with great cheer by the enthusiastic thousands in attendance, thousands of whom were about to have a wall of sound wash over them entirely.
Vivid digital displays loomed over the crowd while fan favorites An Island, Vitamin R, and Forfeit among others radiated from the stage. The passion was visible in Pete's face as the band played through a mixture of selections that treaded from their more vulnerable lyricism to their darker themes, the latter of which can be characterized from the heavy Door to Door Cannibals. If we've learned anything, it's that Chevelle are capable of stretching the confines of their sound into new (and memorable) moments that uplift and astound. The electrifying performance of Face To The Floor, Young Wicked, and a closing Mars Simula was evident of that.
Chevelle defined grand that night, providing a feel-good set that spanned the entirety of their discography, accentuating what makes the trio so distinct in the rock arena. Few dates remain on the standout tour run, so head below for an exquisite photo gallery of the performances, upcoming shows, and tickets.
