The band's sophomore record has a date and packs a punch with a Burney cover so grand.
Burney's graphite works are a portal to centuries past for the modern day, which only makes it right that Devil Master enlist his magic for the cover of today's newly announced record, Ecstasies of Never Ending Night. Arriving on April 29th via Relapse Records, Ecstacies rips and roars with the band's signature blend of blackened punk, harkening back to the glory days of Japanese metal-punk while injecting black metal layers for a truly cohesive composition of haunting aggression. Similar to their standout debut, Satan Spits on Children of Light, Devil Master embody a rawness that is captured well by Pete DeBoer's live to analog tape recording. Lead single Acid Black Mass elevates the excitement for this second entry in Devil Master's exciting presence as one of metal's strongest contemporary forces.
Guitarist Darkest Prince comments:
“It’s the perfect evolution of our sound. It’s Japanese metal-punk d-beat meets black metal. There’s plenty of GISM and Mobs in there, but also Celtic Frost and Gorgoroth.”
