An evening full of exclusive west-coast appearances.
I'm not going to lie, I'm a bit jealous of the stacked lineup that Maryland Deathfest is getting for 2019, but that jealousy went down by a mile after today's announcement. Holy shit. The Deathfest team has done it again
The 2019 edition of California Death Fest will take place at 1720 in Los Angeles, CA on July 27 and 28, 2019 and their team has announced the first wave of bands confirmed to appear at next summer's festival.
For the first wave of bands, it was announced that Mortician will play for the first time in California since 2004 with an Exclusive West Coast appearance. Monstrosity, Vomitory (Sweden), and Violator (Brazil) will all have exclusive West Coast appearances as well. Hirax, Sadistic Intent, and Pessimist round out the first wave of bands, making this festival something to look forward to.
Deathfest had the following to say regarding today's announcement:
Due to the capacity of the venue, consider it a fair warning that this event will sell out. While we could have had the event at a larger venue, we decided to go with a venue that will allow room in the budget to fly over some bands that have never been to CA or haven't been in a very long time.
More bands will be announced soon! We're also looking at the possibility of adding a pre-fest show on Friday, July 26th. More info about this will be posted as soon as possible.
Whether there's a pre-fest or not, we're content with just the first taste of what's to come from LA's death metal party. With many more bands left to be announced, we can't wait to see what the Deathfests team has up their sleeve.
