There's no shortage of punishing sludge bands around the world, giving fans of the feedback filled subgenre plenty to love. New Orleans based unit ROMASA will be another sludge crust trio on your radar as they ready their debut record Cheering Death for self release on March 1st, 2019 with digital, cassette, and vinyl formats available. Cassette will be limited to 100 copies in random color variations with an added lyric booklet, making for an excellent package.

The effort was captured over the course of just two days with James Whitten (Thou, The Body, Ossacrux et al) at Hightower Recording Studio and mastered by Brad Boatwright (Gatecreeper, Necrot). ROMASA have put forth five heavy tracks of sonic nihilism charged with apathy and suffering.

The band comment:

"Like the greedy business man who orders the TGI Fridays cheeseburger without realizing it comes with bacon and avocado, ROMASA's 'Pleasure Is My God' will surprisingly nourish the listener with tasty riffs, beefy bass lines, and meaty rhythms. Your crust laden ear drums will not walk away hungry after devouring this filth-dripping masterpiece."

Cheering Death Track Listing:

1. Sepulchral Form

2. Cheering Death

3. Pleasure Is My God

4. Grateful For Filth

5. Mind Brick

You can pre-order your copy of the release and check out Pleasure is My God on Bandcamp. The band will also celebrate the release with a short tour at the end of March, so stay tuned.
