Stone is a hit — sold-out shows and an extensive amount of vinyl sales, listener engagements, and vocal enthusiasm have showed that. This latest Baroness record is a culminating feat that dives further into mastermind's John Dyer Baizley's thematic exploration of color, an act we explored at length a few weeks ago. Stone is being given new life on stages across North America and in late October, The Bellwether in Los Angeles was host to the band's moving power.

Prefaced by a contrasting Midwife and Primitive Man showing, the audience was primed with an eclectic display fitting for the grandeur of Baroness to follow.

A commanding John Baizley stood forth and led the headlining band to glory. From one album gem to the next, The Bellwether sang and moved with an energy reflective of the investment each Baroness member invests in their craft. Whether relatively new to the band's fandom or a long time supporter, the evening's setlist provided much to enjoy for all while providing as much of a visual feast with vibrant lights shining down on the sea of attendees.
