xBk Live in Des Moines, Iowa on May 1, 2024:
Creeper are on a victory run in support of last year's acclaimed Sanguivore full-length (available via Spinefarm Records), and xBk Live in Des Moines was host to their thrilling prowess. The show, which was an off-shoot from the band's ongoing tour with Black Veil Brides, featured Hannah Greenwood (guitar) on lead vocals in absence of frontman Will Gould, who was out for the night facing an illness. Regardless, Creeper opted not to cancel it and moved forwarded with a slight lineup shift that spoke for the band's versatility. The result? A blood-curling affair bursting at the seams with an energy signature to the band's celebrated discography.
With the punchy Cry To Heaven to kick us off, xBk began to move.
An enthusiastic crowd inched closer to the stage, clamoring towards the leather jacket wearing, vampyric goth rockers. Like Sanguivore, Creeper live are a hell of a time with a grand instrumentation and theatrical stage presence to boast. Sacred Blasphemy, Down Below, Teenage Sacrifice, and more filled the room with ghoulish glee as Sanguivore's tracks took center stage. Every solo, scream, and anthemic passage was met with great cheer and a notable passion from a band invested in every element of their craft, completing a must-see show with visual intention.
