Shots From The Road: Full of Hell in San Francisco

One of the most stacked touring bills of the year is hitting venues near you.

It's not every day that you get four bands with year-end contending material hitting your side of town, so when it happens, you make it a priority to be there. Led by the always insane Full of Hell, this can't miss touring package includes the likes of END, Inter Arma, and Wake, each of whom deliver big on their respective ends with material that spanning all ends of their celebrated discographies.

Full of Hell, who are gearing up for their When No Birds Sang collaborative release with Nothing, are downright uncompromising, offering little breathing room to be had throughout the entirety of their set. Said breathing room only occurs in slow-burning, doom laden moments, of which are few and far in between Dylan Walker's piercing screams. Walker, as commanding as ever, made use of every inch of that Great American Music Hall stage with veins lifted and pain flowing through every roar.

Death metal, noise, and grind collide for one maelstrom of sound primed to stir the venue into a pit. Selections from across Full of Hell's discography took the spotlight, reflective of the shape-shifting musical pedigree that exists within the band's ranks. Crawling Back To God, Eroding Shell, Silmaril, and more raged on, met by an equally explosive audience reaction fitting for the soundtrack on display.

With acts of the caliber of Full of Hell, END, Inter Arma, and Wake, there's a heightened sense of pressure, or camaraderie, on stage to meet (or exceed) the preceding act's momentum.
