Stick To Your Guns sell out The Observatory in celebration of "Diamond" (2012)

Bodies were flying and great times were being had throughout the celebratory occasion.

Orange County's own Stick To Your Guns know a thing or two about building community, and on the evening of Friday the 13th, said community came out in full force at The Observatory. The sold-out showcase found the local heroes joined by a strong touring bill including Comeback Kid, Spiritworld, and Orthodox, each of which excelled with rip roaring instrumentation that elevated the constantly vibrant atmosphere.

Words and pictures can only do so much justice to the energy that was present throughout STYG's headlining performance, one that injected new life into the celebrated Diamond (2012). From the opening title track to the venue leveling Against Them All, there was very little breathing room, if any, as many stormed onto the stage and chanted along to the empowerment of the lyrics.

Frontman Jesse Barnett commanded like no other and garnered endless admiration from the many that raised their hands in unison and sang along whenever Barnett held his mic outward as the Diamond artwork shined on the backdrop. The band's performance of the album in full emphasized the longevity of the record and how well it resonates in the hearts of many over a decade past its release. This is more than an anniversary tour, but a communal celebration of hardcore that electrifies anyone keen for a thrilling experience.
