Just a couple of weeks until all hell breaks loose at The Fillmore with a staggering lineup.
With June 10th and 11th on the horizon, Decibel Magazine are set to take over Philly with an array of blood-curling festivities at The Fillmore, a ripping pre-fest show at The Foundry, and after parties on each day of the festival. Through it all, exquisite beers will be pouring and attendees will have no shortage of exclusive brewery selections to enjoy from. We're excited to share a few of them today, each of which comes with accompanying can artwork enticing enough to steer you in the right direction.
For starters, the work of longtime Cannibal Corpse confidant Vince Locke graces the can of the band's own Amber Smashed Face, courtesy of 3 Floyds Brewing while The Red Chord, who will be performing their standout 2005 record Clients, will deliver Fixation On Red Ale in collaboration with Everett's Bone Up Brewing. To celebrate the anticipated headlining act of Candlemass, the beer curators themselves at Broken Goblet Brewing will brew up a hoppy Doom Lager with artwork akin to that of the Epicus Doomicus Metallicus (1986) front cover, which will of course be played in its entirety. Wake Brewing, hosts of the Day 1 afterparty, will do right by the grandiosity of Wolves In The Throne Room and have crafted a hard-hitting hazy IPA in the form of Eyes of Gold. As noted earlier this month, Craven Idol also have an exclusive up their sleeves with Soundgrowler Brewing, aptly titled The Hops Have Left Us For Dead. All this and more await the lucky souls who will walk The Fillmore.
