Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles on November 4, 2022:

From its elaborate architecture to its historical nods, entertainment at the Orpheum Theatre is a time capsule that celebrates a near century in operation. Wardruna take it back even further and bring centuries old customs to a modern setting, rounding out one comprehensive experience. The Nordic outfit brought their expansive energy to Los Angeles as they near completion of a rescheduled North American trek that was highly anticipated stateside.

Kvitravn commenced the evening on a high mark, garnering a focused attention from the many present. The compositional variety of Wardruna is a feat to behold as it looks back to the use of traditional folk customs for a contemporary time, providing a grounding power to their live persona. Skugge continued and transitioned into Solringen, pleasing fans entering from all eras of the group's celebrated discography.

Lindy-Fay Hella's ethereal vocal harmonies radiated throughout the venue's exquisite structure, which provided the ideal acoustics for a performance of this caliber. Between Hella and Selvik, Wardruna stands tall as a vocal powerhouse of moving nature, always inspiring and soothing the soul alongside an array of gentle instrumentation.

Grá, Fehu, and Odal brace audiences for the spiritual closer that is Helvegen, a gem from 2013's Runaljod - Yggdrasil. Heads swayed and arms waived in unison to the pounding drum vibrations before Voluspá put an end to the night.
