This Friday, May 8th, Wounded Touch will release a brand-new 3-track EP, They Promised Eden (Vol. 1), via Smartpunk Records. To introduce the brief yet hefty offering, the band dropped lead single A Weapon In God's Country today, which features guest vocals from Jack Murray of 156/Silence fame. Explosive from the get go, the latest from Wounded Touch is a thrill of a listen that carries the same lyrical weight and driving instrumentation present throughout the band's hard-hitting discography.
Frontman Nick Holland comments on the track:
“Lyrically, the song is about an anticipated and not-so-distant foreseeable conflict where a unified common man wages a secular holy war against the upper echelon of the technocratic class, the anti-human collective of leadership in the field of surveillance, data mining and constructing of data centers. It depicts the collective human spirit, after suffering enough of their inhumanity, casting its divisions aside and waging a brutal crusade against their systems of weaponry and surveillance.”
